The story of four pre-war intellectuals who spend August and September 1944 in a library room, using humor and irony to survive the most difficult moments of the Warsaw Uprising. Told by Jerzy Zalewski on the basis of Wladyslaw Zambrzycki's novel from 1959, using the uncensored version for the first time.
